Bokakhat, February 15:
A medical camp was organized by C.N.B. College NSS Unit in collaboration with the Mobile Medical Unit of Vivekananda Kendra N.R.L. Hospital at Naharjan Garo Gaon on 13th February 2024. The camp was held at the Church premises of the village. About 150 patients from Naharjan Garo Gaon and other nearby villages i.e. Kakochang, Bijuli, Tipujan, Naharjan etc. availed the facilities of health check up in the camp. The hospital authorities conducted various blood tests and distributed necessary medicines free of cost to the patients. Dr. Karabi Saikia, Dr. Tel Singh, Dr. Indrajit Deka, Coordinator Hiranya Barua, Supervising Nurse Jaya Sarkar, Yoga Instructor Chandrabhushan Singh, Nurse Chanu Devi, Laboratory Technician Pranjit Bora, Medical Worker Gakul Kalita, Nirmal Burman and Kishor Bori participated in the camp. Social worker Mausumi Sinha gave a special talk on mental health among the attendees. Dr. Karabi Saikia delivered an awareness speech about Tuberculosis to the gathering. Dr. Surajit Dutta, Principal of CNB College, Bokakhat, Dr. Hariprasad Nath, Dr. Bidyut Boruah, Dr. Tulsi Bora, Nilakanta Borah and others were present on behalf of the college. The college welcomed the doctors and medical staff with a Gamocha. The group members of NSS Unit of Chandra Nath Bezbarua College Nayan Ranjan Sharma, Debanga Basishtya, Nabadeep Gogoi, Bhabendra Konch, Biswajit Chowdhury, Amrit Gogoi, Dipankar Kurmi etc. assisted the medical team.
