The Golaghat and Jorhat Zonal Inter-College Cricket Tournament 2023-24 of Dibrugarh University was hosted by CNB College, Bokakhat on 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th January 2024 at Bokakhat Stadium. The tournament was inaugurated by Subodh Bora, a prominent athlete and retired Associated Professor of J.D.S.G. College, Bokakhat. Mr Sarat Chandra Dutta, Founder principal of Chandra Nath Bezbarua College and Dr. Badilal Deuri, the superintendent of Bokakhat Shwaheed Kamala Miri Sub-Divisional Hospital graced the inaugural ceremony as the chief guests. The inaugural ceremony was anchored by Dr. Bidyut Boruah, Teacher In-charge of Outdoor Sports of CNB College. The tournament was attended by Mr Sanjeev Saikia, a prominent athlete and Secretary, Bokakhat District Sports Association Secretary as the university observer. The tournament was umpired by sportsmen Raja Rahman and Vinay Kalwar. The team of JDSG College, Bokakhat defeated the team of DR College, Golaghat and the team of JB College defeated NN Saikia College, Titabor in the final match of Golgaght and Jorhat Zone respectively. Both the winner team qualified for the next match which will be played at Dibrugarh University. Dr. Surjit Dutta, Principal of CNB College, Bokakhat thanks Dibrugarh University Sports Board, Bokakhat District Sports Association, umpires Raja Rahman and Binay Kalwar and the cricket teams for conducting the match smoothly.
